SUI SAILING LICENSE OBLIGATION

The Swiss Kitesailing Association (SKA) is a class association of Swiss Sailing and organizes competitions under the auspices of Swiss Sailing/World Sailing. As it is already the case for the SKA Kitefoil Swiss Series as well as for the Snowkite Tour, participants in the Freestyle Swiss Series must also have a SUI Sailing license.

This is also an important requirement for the Freestyle Swiss Series to be officially recognized by SUI Sailing as a Swiss Championship in the future.

There are three ways to obtain a SUI Sailing license:

  1. SKA active membership
  2. through a sailing club recognized by SUI Sailing
  3. discounted SKA active membership for members of the following partner clubs:
    1. Kitesurf Club Switzerland
    2. Kite Uri
    3. Kitesurf Club Sihlsee
    4. L’Association Romande de Kitesurf (KA)

For more information about the SKA active membership visit the membership page!

After successfully registering as a SKA active member, you will receive a SUI Sailing card with a corresponding personal SUI Sailing number. With this SUI Sailing number, one can register for the Freestyle Swiss Series as well as for the Foil Swiss Series via the online platform Manage2Sail.
